SKILL-BUILDING WORKSHOPS

We offer customized and contextualized workshops, virtually or in-person, to groups and organizations including non-profits, organizing collectives, public service organizations, unions, and other spaces seeking a stronger commitment to racial equity and social justice. These sessions, sample topics below, are typically run as a workshop series or a longer-term process of organizational transformation, rather than stand-alone sessions.

From Theory to Action

We offer additional sessions to apply lessons from previous sessions and discuss how to implement these tools within current participant work areas, such as: engagement with community-based groups, program design, or other relevant areas. Specific activities, tools, and learnings are developed and customized as we move through the other workshops, to further conversations and address specific needs that arise.

Seachange facilitators were incredibly skilled and nuanced in moving our workshop experience from big concepts to specific practices; from structural to personal. They engaged our hearts and minds and helped us connect closer as a team— particularly important since we all work remotely and didn’t know one another at the beginning.

I have done many similar anti-oppression trainings over the years, but I can honestly say none hold a candle to what Seachange does. I was challenged in a way all other programs haven’t been able to reach me and crucially was provided with actionable strategies and tools that will help me foster better working relationships and create more inclusive spaces.
